The Alexia Foundation offers production grants to students and professional photographers to give them the financial ability to produce substantial stories that drive change in the effort to make the world a better place. Students also get scholarship opportunities.
The Alexia Foundation promotes the power of photojournalism to give voice to social injustice, to respect history lest we forget it and to understand cultural difference as our strength – not our weakness.
Through grants, scholarships and special projects, The Alexia Foundation supports photographers as agents for change.
Photographers and visual journalists from any country may apply for this Grant.
Proposals for projects that have already received grants or awards of more than $10,100 in the previous calendar year are not eligible. The Grant is made to an individual photographer; project proposals that involve multiple content producers will not be accepted - unless you also submit a motion piece with your still images. You must be the primary creator on motion pieces but may have produced the piece with a small support team.
