Launched in 2002 and published four times a year, Verge Magazine championed the idea of travelling with purpose long before it was cool and was writing about the gap year before it was in the dictionary. Verge stresses truly immersing oneself in a place and a culture over ticking boxes on a bucket list. We write to inspire and inform, not to titillate and sell. We favour articles that encourage readers to travel and explore, and we give them the information and resources to help them follow through on their plans.
