Every year, people of all ages and backgrounds, from Scotland, the UK and beyond come to work with Trees for Life to help restore the natural environment. The work can be physically challenging, sometimes reaching work sites can require long walks over rough terrain so volunteers will need to have a reasonable level of fitness to take part. However, volunteers usually find a pace of work they can cope with. They also run a gentler Nursery Week, located at the field base, for those who feel the regular weeks may be too much for them.
Trees for Life is an organisation specifically dedicated to restoring the Caledonian Forest in the Scottish Highlands. They run over 45 conservation holidays, providing an opportunity for hundreds of volunteers to contribute to the restoration of the Caledonian Forest.
Volunteers can book online or by calling Trees for Life directly. If volunteers are booking close to the work week date, including booking online, they should contact Trees for Life to check that there are places available.
