Federal Ministry of Education and Research: Deutschland Stipendium
The Deutschlandstipendium supports highly talented students at all participating universities in Germany. The scholarship is awarded without consideration of personal or parent income and one’s nationality is not material to award either. The scholarship funds do not count towards grants awarded under the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG). There are no social insurance contributions payable.
They promote education and research as the foundations on which Germany will build a future in a changing world. Education provides the basis for leading an autonomous, responsible and participatory life within industry and society. Education provides children with the tools they need to meet the challenges of a changing and increasingly globalized world. Research helps the country to discover the new and improve on the known. Thanks to excellent research, they are finding solutions to global problems and devising strategies for sustainable growth. Research creates previously unknown opportunities in all domains of life, and it keeps Germany's products and services innovative and competitive.
Must be enrolled at a German university. The Deutschlandstipendium is awarded by the universities. Applicants must meet the requirements of the individual institutions. In addition to academic achievement, the criteria for selecting scholarship recipients include social commitment and personal achievements, such as a student overcoming challenges or obstacles in his or her social or family background.
