Alive Foundation's Volunteer Work-Camps bring together between 35 and 40 volunteers from all over the world. During these programmes, volunteers live together in simple housing structures in a community to partake in voluntary work which lasts for a maximum of 3 weeks. Projects may include both skilled and unskilled labour such as clearing bush, planting trees, building schools, places of conveniences, hospitals, clinics, libraries, social centers and orphanages.
Alive Foundation is a voluntary non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Kumasi, Ghana. It was founded by a group of volunteers who set out to bring the resources of Ghana and the international community to the most deprived communities of Ghana.
Participation in Volunteer Work-Camps does not require any special qualifications. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis as volunteers can arrive at the work-camps at anytime. Applications can be downloaded from the website and should be mailed to Alive Foundation directly.
