University of Arkansas: OMNI Endowed International Student Scholarship
The purpose of the OMNI Endowed International Student Scholarship shall be to provide two awards annually; one in the fall to an outstanding international student with financial need on the Fayetteville campus in support of his/her tuition, fees, and/or books and another award in the spring to a second student using the same criteria. This endowment will support students who will embody qualities that exemplify non-violence, world peace, human rights, social and economic justice, and environmental stewardship. Recipients will be required to attend an OMNI board meeting each semester for the purpose of sharing knowledge and experiences about the world and to become better acquainted with board members.
The university’s enrollment is more than 26,000 and its students represent all 50 states and 120 countries. The university is the state’s foremost partner and resource for education and economic development. It serves as the major provider of graduate-level instruction in Arkansas. And its public service activities reach every county in Arkansas, throughout the nation, and around the world.
Must be a citizen and permanent resident of a country other than the U.S.
Must be in good academic standing; must present a clear statement of objectives to be achieved with the university campus and/or the Fayetteville community through the application process; Must have successfully completed enough credits to be classified as a junior or senior; must reapply each year.
