Verge magazine is honoured to have been nominated for a 2009 Utne Independent Press Award for International Coverage. For more than 20 years, Utne Reader has been a trusted guide to the alternative and independent press, editing and reprinting compelling content from a library of 1500 cutting-edge publications. Verge is proud to be counted among the ranks of such esteemed publications as New Statesman, Virginia Quarterly Review and New Internationalist.  Award  winners will be announced at a celebration in Boulder, Colorado, during the Magazine Publishers of America’s Independent Magazine Group conference (May 17-19) and published in the July-August issue of Utne Reader.
